Sci-Vite

3DVista / Insta360 Camera / Adobe Illustrator

A virtual interactive tour experience of Washington State University Vancouver’s Life Sciences Building.

As leader of the Experience team, I helped coordinate and create two major portions of the project with my team: a 360 degree interactive video tour and an interactive 3D model representing the laboratories and research on campus. I worked with Jaret Benson (3D modeling), Josh Torres (3D modeling) , and Maya Gibbs (UI/UX) to create two unique methods of touring the extraordinary new Life Sciences Building at WSU Vancouver. Additionally, I used my digital art skills to illustrate areas of the building as promotional art.

360° Tour

The 360 degree interactive video tour was created using an Insta360 X3 camera and 3DVista’s Virtual Tour Pro software. After touring the building, four representative rooms were chosen for recording. This included the front entrance, an active Biology lab, an active Chemistry lab, and one downstairs lounge space.

Interactive 3D Model

The 3D model was created using Autodesk Maya and Adobe Substance Painter. After importing into 3DVista, it can be viewed as an interactive first-person experience. The model represents the laboratories and research on WSU Vancouver’s campus, focusing on Dr. Cynthia Cooper’s Zebrafish research lab.
